Back in 1979 following the fad of cookie shops
along the west coast, David, a New York City
Chef believed he could do even better.
Chef David, trained in the finest French
culinary academies, began mixing dough, and
created the perfect cookie which "looked and
tasted just like mamma made!" Using only the
finest, all natural, ingredients, i.e.: pure
vanilla, butter, Swiss chocolate and whole
nuts, David opened his very first cookie shop!
People soon fell in love with these funny
shaped cookies which were always loaded with
chunks of chocolate. Fame a fortune soon was
bestowed upon David, he received many awards
for his fabulous cookies including the NY
Newsday Cookie Award for the Best Chocolate
Chunk Cookie!
By the mid 1980's David's Cookies flourished
into an international franchise organization
with over 250 cookie shops worldwide!
As the realities of the operating cost grew in
the late 1980's, David's Cookies continued
with its evolution into the food service
industry so that it could focus on various
co-branding ventures. To successfully do this,
David's Cookies was bought by Fairfield
Gourmet Foods, also known as Cookie Cupboard,
of Fairfield, New Jersey. This acquisition has
allowed for the reduction of cost associated
with co-branding, by eliminating all
franchising fees, as well as allowing direct
sales assistance from the parent company. This
well trained sales force works with each
customer to determine which of our products to
carry, as well as what components of our
merchandising material are needed to truly
develop our "Cookie Store Within Your Store"
concept!
As stated above, David's Cookies is based in
Fairfield, New Jersey, just 15 miles west of
Manhattan. All products, which are available
at our virtual cookie shop, are baked fresh at
our 60,000 square ft, state of the art
facility. We even have an outlet store on
premises with a array of cookies to choose
